Structures
Structural analysis software from ANSYS provides the ability to simulate every structural aspect of a product, including linear static analysis that simply provides stresses or deformations, modal analysis that determines vibration characteristics, through to advanced transient nonlinear phenomena involving dynamic effects and complex behaviors. By using Ansys structural analysis software, you can solve complex structural engineering problems and make better, faster design decisions.
The finite element analysis (FEA) solvers in the suite allow you to customize and automate solutions for your structural mechanics problems and parameterize them to analyze multiple design scenarios. You can also connect easily to other physics analysis tools for even greater precision. Ansys structural analysis software is used across various industries in order to optimize product designs and reduce testing costs.
Structural analysis for all experience levels
From designers and occasional users looking for quick, easy and accurate results, to experts looking to model complex materials, large assemblies and nonlinear behavior, Ansys has you covered. Ansys GRANTA Materials Data for Simulation is a license option providing instant, clickable access to a general library of over 700 materials property data accessed through the Ansys Mechanical interface, eliminating data search time and input errors. Mechanical’s intuitive interface enables engineers of all levels to get answers fast and with confidence. Solve on your local machine or on the cloud. You can even run hundreds of design points using Ansys distributed compute services (DCS).
Advanced capabilities
Using the built-in models, user-defined material models, or Material Designer in Mechanical, you can simulate complex materials and their behavior. In models with very large deformation, there is no need to switch to explicit solvers unless it is absolutely necessary. NLAD automatically adjusts the mesh as the simulation progresses, adapting to challenging scenarios.
SMART (separating morphing adaptive re-meshing technique) fracture technology has recently been added to Mechanical in order to eliminate complicated meshing processes and guesswork in fracture modelling. SMART can be used to model crack growth in fractured structures.
